Mice can enter any dwelling through holes as small as a ¼-inch and cause major property damage. They gnaw on household items, drywall, and — most dangerously — electrical wires inside walls, which is a leading cause of accidental house fires.

 

Mice also contaminate food and surfaces with harmful bacteria, and their droppings can trigger severe allergies, asthma or spread life-threatening respiratory diseases like Hantavirus.
